Dell pressed to use Firefox

Dell's online suggestion box has been packed with demands that the company preinstall Firefox and OpenOffice.org.
Dell  recently announced it will offer Ubuntu Linux on some systems and you can read it here.

According to TechWorld, the Firefox pre-install petition here  has collected more than70,000 votes since its introduction 19 February. An OpenOffice petition has more than 96,000 signitures.In 2005, there were rumors that Dell's UK arm would ship PCs withFirefox pre-installed, but this never happened.

According to the latest numbers from Net Applications, a web metricsfirm, Firefox now accounts for 15.4 percent of the browser market.
