Development team needs more time
Nintendo has confirmed that the new Kid Icarus title known as Kid Icarus: Uprising will not get off the ground yet this year. Instead, the game has been delayed till 2012, but Nintendo has not yet confirmed when in 2012 this title will be released for the 3DS.

According to Nintendo, the development team simply needed more time to complete the game. Beyond that, the company offered little to explain the delay.

While rumors suggest that the delay might be to incorporate the new joystick add-on that is coming for the 3DS, of course the company did not confirm if this was the reason.
