Asus UX21 and UX31
Asus is just one of the companies that will definitely want a piece of the ultrathin market and two new models have been listed in France, the 11.6-inch UX21 and the 13.3-inch UX31.

Both are based on low-voltage Sandy Bridge CPU and are packed in a 17mm thick brushed aluminum casing. The 1.1kg heavy 11.6-inch UX21 features the 1.6GHz clocked Core i5-2467M CPU with Intel GMA HD 3000 graphics, 4GB of memory, a 64GB SSD, 802.11bgn WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, mini HDMI, mini DisplayPort and D-Sub outputs. It has a 1366x768 LED backlit screen, Windows 7 OS and comes with a 6-cell battery that should be enough for up to 7 hours of worktime.

The 13.3-inch has a 1600x900 screen, packs the Core i5-2557M CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, 128GB of SSD space and all for €999. This one weighs 1.3kg and has also showed up with a Core i7-2677M CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and a 256GB SSD for €1199. The rest of the specs should be pretty much identical as on the UX21.

Of course, there are just a few first listings that were spotted by Notebook Italia and we expect October to be a pretty good month for ultrabooks.
