Just a tad below €1000

Asus Zenbook ultrabooks have raised a lot of interest since they were officially presented by Asus and have finally popped up in a couple of listings in Europe. The 11.6-inch UX21 and the 13.3-inch UX31 are currently listed for as low as €970,51 and €974,25.

In case you missed it, the 0.9cm thin and 1.1kg heavy or light UX21 features an 11.6-inch 1366x768 LED-backlit TFT glare screen, Core i5-2467M ULV dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz and Intel GMA HD 3000 graphics, along with 4GB of DDR3 memory, 128GB of SSD storage space. It features one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, 801.11bgn WiFi and Bluetooth, 0.3M webcam, Bang and Olfusen speakers, micro HDMI/mini VGA outputs, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OS. This one is currently listed only in the UK while we expect it to show up in the rest of the Europe pretty soon.

The more interesting UX31 features 13.3-inch 1600x900 LED-backlit glare screen, has same thicknes as the UX21 but features either an Intel Core i5-2557M or Core i7-2677M CPU. Currently, there is only one SKU listed in Poland with the Core i5-2257M dual core clocked at 1.7GHz. The rest of the specs include 4GB of DDR3 memory, 128GB or 256GB SSD, and pretty much the same specs as the UX21 plus the card reader. As noted, this one is currently listed in Poland with a price set at €970,51. Of course this one will probably show up in the rest of Europe as well.
