Dell Linux PCs not for EU

Only good enough for Americans

European customers who want Dell to supply one of its new Linux PC will be out of luck.

According to ZDNet, Dell has said that the Ubuntu Linux systems will be only be sold in the United States. It refused to say if it had any plans to sell any Ubuntu models in the EU.

Dell says that it is still working out details of its global programme.  However EU customers should not hold their breath.  Dell has released 'naked PCs' with no operating system in the United States for some time and has yet to do so in the EU.
