‘Password’ still reigns.

There’s no other way to put it – people hate having to remember anything, let alone passwords. Unfortunately, seeking for convenient methods to address this problem often results in heeding Captain Obvious’ suggestions.

SplashData published its annual list of worst passwords, including the inventive ‘123456’ and the entirely different ‘12345678’. See what they did there? Of course you do.

As you can see, ‘password’ still tops the list and we’re wondering whether there will be an end to this human ingenuity. The full list is as follows:

1. password

3.12345678
4. qwerty
5. abc123
6. monkey
