BioWare to be at the helm powered by Frostbite 2

Rumors of the possibility of a new Command & Conquer title in the franchise have been circulating for quite some time. At the VGAs, Electronic Arts confirmed that Command & Conquer: Generals 2 is in development with BioWare at the helm.

Actually, while BioWare is behind the new entry in the franchise, it is being handled by a new BioWare studio called BioWare Victory. This studio actually used to be Victory Games, but has since joined the BioWare family.

The way that we are reading the plans is that Command & Conquer: Generals 2 will be a Frostbite 2 powered console title, while plans for a PC-only exclusive title are still happening. It is suspected that this PC-only C&C title will also be powered by Frostbite 2. (Look for Frostbite 2 to be the development platform for many EA titles going forward.)
