THQ ups pre-order bonus for Darksiders

Written by David Stellmack

Have to order it from the THQ store & live in North America

THQ is pulling out all of the stops on the release of Darksiders II, as the company announced that those ordering the Darksiders II Limited Edition from the THQ store in North America will get the first two content drops for free as an exclusive Maker’s Amemour and Scythe set, featuring upgraded stars with a unique design. As an additional bonus, THQ is going to throw in free shipping.

If you happened to have already ordered Darksiders II from the THQ store, you will be upgraded to Limited Edition as previously announced, and you will get codes for both content drops and free shipping. THQ is also offering a Season Pass for Darksiders, which will get you all three DLC packs when they arrive. We are told that the Collector’s Edition of Darksiders II is sold out at retail and it is still unknown if THQ is going to be able to make more copies available of the Collector’s Edition.

Darksiders II is now slated for release in August for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. THQ has confirmed that a Wii U version will arrive as a launch title for the unit when it is released. The Wii U version is said to offer some things that are not a part of the other versions due to the unique screen setup offered by the Wii U.
