Assassin’s Creed 3 exclusives for PS3

Written by David Stellmack

60 minutes of exclusive content

Sony spoke of exclusive content that was coming with Assassin’s Creed 3 for the PlayStation 3 but they didn’t really say what it would be, other than to say that it would be content that you could not get in the Xbox 360 or PC versions of the game.

We are now hearing that PlayStation 3 version of Assassin’s Creed 3 will ship with an additional 60 minutes of content on the actual disc that is available no other place. Other than seeing the “PS3 Exclusive Edition” tag that is showing up on box art for the game, there is no word on what this content contains; but 60 minutes’ worth is a lot.

Sources are telling us that we should hear more details about the additional 60 minutes of content in the PS3 version of the game in the weeks ahead. Still, we will not know how much of a difference it makes in the play of the actual game till it is released at the end of October. It will be interesting to see how fans react to this platform exclusive, as 60 minutes of additional content has the potential to be a game changer.

The PC version of Assassin’s Creed 3 is slated for release in North America on October 30th and in Europe on October 31st. The Wii version will be a launch title and will be available when the unit arrives in retailer stores.
