Sends out press invites

Although the 12th of September was rumored as the iPhone launch date for quite some time, Apple has now officially confirmed and sent out press invites for its event that will be held in San Francisco.

There have been so many rumors regarding the new iPhone and it appears that it will indeed be called the iPhone 5 after all. The new iPhone will definitely run on Apple's latest iOS 6 OS seen back in June and according to various rumors it should be available shortly after the announcement, on September 21st. The invite does not reveal much actually

Apple's rumored 7-inch iPad, probably will not show up at this event but rather have its own in October. Of course, Apple has perfectly timed its September 12th event that comes just a day before scheduled Nokia/Microsoft event for the upcoming Windows Phone 8 smartphones.

In any case, everything should be clear on September 12th.
