Sony prepares 22 notebooks with Windows 8

Preorder prices start at €479

One of Austria’s biggest retailers has a nice link with Windows 8 in the title that can get you automatically to a list of notebooks that will ship with Windows 8. Naturally the first machines will be available after 26th of October and Ditech is ready to start selling them on October 27th 2012. 

The cheapest of the lot is Sony's Vaio SVE1112M1EW, a stylish white notebook packing an AMD E2-1800 dual-core and 11.6-inch LED display. It will ship with Windows 8 64 bit and will cost €479. Tge Cheapest Intel Sony Vaio SVE1512C6EW 15.6-incher also comes in white, powered by a B980 Pentium that works at 2x2.4GHz, 4GB memory and 500MB hard drive, all for €499 with a pinch of Windows 8 64 bit. Ivy Bridge Vaio SVE1512H6EW, a 15.5-incheer in white and Core i3 3110M starts at €599.

The first touchscreen device, Sony’s Vaio SVT1312M1ES is a 13.3-inch 1366x768 notebook with Core i3 3217U, Windows 8 64 bit and a touch screen that will sell for €899.

The same retailer has 10 Samsung and two HP machines listed starting with Samsung’s NP530U3C ultrabook, with a 13.3-inch non-glare WXGA LED TFT. It’s available in brown for €749. Samsung is also offering a better spec’d 14-inch ultrabook, also without touch support. The Samsung NP530U4C features WXGA LED TFT non-glare screen and it packs a Core i7 3517UM, 8GB of memory, 24GB SSD + 500 GB HDD, DVD RW, USB 3.0, HDMI and Geforce GT620M 1GB. Of course, it ships with Windows 8.
