Acer plans Intel-based smartphone

Acer is reportedly mulling an Intel-based smartphone, but it could be limited to the Asian market.

CNET reports that there is a good chance Acer is prepping an Atom based phone, but the timing is still unclear.

Intel’s biggest design win to date is the Motorola RAZR i, a pretty interesting mid-range Android phone powered by a 2GHz single core Atom chip.
