More job cuts on the way

Just a couple of months ago AMD announced plans to cut 15 percent of its workforce, or about 1,700 souls.

However, it seems further cuts are also on the way. AllThingsD has learned that senior AMD managers are getting ready for another round of cuts. Luckily, the cuts will not be as deep as last time around.

Still, some workers are being told that they will be shown the door in January. One source claims the management doesn’t believe it managed to get everything “right” in the first round of cuts.

It is still unclear how many jobs will be affected by the latest round of cuts.
