Written by Slobodan Simic

No precise info yet

It was rumored and detailed earlier this week and Microsoft has now officially confirmed that the Widnows Phone 7.8 update is going to be released in early 2013.

Although Vole did not release a precise date and there were no details which smartphones will actually get the update, Microsoft has once again detailed those new features that are expected from the Windows Phone 7.8 update. The feature list includes much more colors for the UI theme, additional Exchange security enhancements, resizable Live Tiles as well as a promise that both Windows Phone 7.5 and 7.8 will get new apps.

Microsoft did not that they are working closely with hardware and carrier partners to get the Windows Phone 7.8 update tested, approved and rolled out to "as many devices as possible" in early 2013.
