However, credit score company Experian found that Apple's returns policy prompted more online searches than any other company in the UK on Christmas Day. Experian can’t really believe that no one would want an overpriced hunk of junk with an Apple logo.
James Murray, digital insight manager for Experian Marketing Services said that it probably a case of parents and grandparents confusing the various models of iPads and iPods available. He thinks that since the iPad Mini and and iPod Nano might sound similar, they are clearly very different products and Gran might have been confused.
However, if it were that confusing Apple fanboys would not be able to buy the right one either, and that never seems to be the case. Indeed a real Apple fanboy would be overjoyed if he got some more Apple gear, even if he already owned it. It is not the technology it is the logo and two logos are cooler than one.
