Facebook hits $30

Written by Peter Scott

Pinch me please

The Facebook IPO was one of the most talked about things in tech last year, for all the wrong reasons of course.

The social network saw its IPO price halved in a matter of weeks, dipping below $18 at one point. However, things seem to be looking up for Zuckerberg’s gang of misfits.

Facebook's stock rallied Wednesday, crossing the $30 mark once again. It still has a long way to go before it reaches the IPO price, but given the tons of bad press Facebook got after the IPO, anything north of $30 is great news.

In related news, the company also issued a press invitation for a mysterious event next week. Hopefully it’s not about to launch a phone.

More here.
