Gen 7 Corvette goes to Gran Turismo 5

Written by David Stellmack

Free DLC for the PS3 on January 15th

With the recent introduction of the new seventh generation Corvette Stingray just the other day by Chevrolet, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would show up in digital form. The question was who would get it, Forza developer Turn 10, or Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital? As you guessed by the title, Gran Turismo 5 won; and the all-new Corvette Stingray will offered as free DLC for PlayStation 3 owners on January 15th or later today.

The partnership between Chevrolet Global Marketing and Polyphony Digital has resulted in the release of this DLC to allow players to have an exclusive driving experience within Gran Turismo 5. With the DLC release of the latest Corvette, it makes this the seventh generation of Corvette that has been featured in Gran Turismo games.

There is no word yet if the 2014 Corvette is totally exclusive to Gran Turismo or if it will show up as DLC content for Forza at some point in the very near future.
