OCZ's recently acquired PC building company, Hypersonic PC, has announced a new notebook model branded as Avenger AG2. The new Avenger will feature a compact 12.1-inch design capable of showing 1280x800 resolution in combination with high-performance CPUs.
The Avenger series will be slightly crippled by the use of Intel's GM965 IGP (X3100) graphics chipset, but it will be compensated by the choice of high-performance CPUs. Other specs include a maximum of 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 250GB of hard drive capacity, or the choice of 64GB solid state drive.
The choice of CPUs ranges from Intel's 45nm Penryn-based T8100 with 3MB L2 cache, clocked at 2.1GHz over T8300 clocked at 2.4GHz, up to top choice of Intel's Penryn 45nm-based T9300 with 6MB of L2 cache clocked at 2.5GHz.
The new Avenger will be available in five different color choices and the base model will set you back US$1,359. This small beast will not run Crysis, but it surely packs a lot of power under its 12.1-inch hood.
