More Intel chips for ZTE

by on11 March 2013

Chinese can’t get enough of them

ZTE is signing up for more of Intel’s Atom Z2580 processors, according to QQ Tech.

Apparently the Chinese cannot get enough of Intel's new hyperthreading, dual-core processor which they think will double computer performance, triple in graphic performance while still maintaining a competitive battery life. ZTE and Intel have been getting closer since the Chinese outfit started expanding in the European market.

Grand X IN, ZTE's first phone with an Intel chip, was the best selling Android phone in Austria. The model is also available in other EU countries such as Germany, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Sweden, and Norway, among others. Working with ZTE helped Intel get its foot in the door with smartphones. It has also given Chipzilla a fairly ready market.
