Sony Xperia Z getting new update

Should fix the recent sudden-death problem


After recent and quite serious reports that its flagship Xperia Z smartphone has a tendency to simply die on its users, Sony has now started to roll out an update that should fix this problem.

 

Unfortunately, Sony did not release an official change log so there is no way to tell if the new update is aimed solely to fix the recent issue, but since it has been rolled out with such a haste, best guess is that is the only thing it fixes. The build number is 10.1.A.1.434 while Android version is still 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and Kernel stayed at the same 3.4.0 version.

According to reports, Sony is released the update in stages and should be available via OTA and via PC Companion app.
