Gran Turismo 6 to be revealed soon

Will apparently be for the PlayStation 3

Sony will reveal Gran Turismo 6 sometime in the weeks ahead. The Polyphony Digital-developed title was confirmed as in development back in 2010 when Kazunori Yamauchi, the series creator, spoke about it openly in an interview.

The interesting thing is that the title will apparently be for the PlayStation 3, despite the fact that the PlayStation 4 is preparing to launch this holiday season. The fact that Gran Turismo 6 will be a PS3 release seems to be backed by a listing on online retailer, Newegg.com, who lists the PS3 version as available for pre-order.

No information on a release date is known, but it seems likely that the game could arrive as soon as this holiday season.
