Acer teases new "sliding style" notebook

Written by Slobodan Simic

In a Star Trek: Into Darkness teaser

Acer has released quite a unique teaser teaming up with the Star Trek: Into Darkness, showing its new notebook that will have some sort of a slide-hinge.

Unfortunately, teasers do not show much info but Acer calls it "a unique notebook" that will be revealed on May 3rd. The only thing that we could see from the teaser is the unique slide hinge that should allow the display to rise from the keyboard. The concept certainly sounds interesting but we'll hold our final judgement until we see it in action.

The only piece of feature list revealed is that it will be paired up with Windows 8 OS, and we are guessing that it features a touchscreen.

In any case we'll know for sure on May 3rd and you can check out the teaser below as it looks like Asus is not the only company that can make an interesting new notebook concept.
