DICE veterans involved in Battlefront

Written by David Stellmack

Will be what Battlefront should be

Finding out that DICE was behind the new Star Wars: Battlefront project was no surprise. DICE has all of the right things for this to be a highly successful project. DICE has the experience of developing Battlefield for many years and knows how to deliver the multi-player experience, and it has the Frostbite 3 engine to deliver this experience.

While DICE has been careful to point out that the game will be DICE’s interpretation of what Battlefront should be, we don’t think that fans will mind. Sure, it is going to be Star Wars; but it has to be, and DICE will give it the right kind of spin, we think.

DICE has confirmed that the game will be coming to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, but no release information has been announced yet. Sources are suggesting that it could be a late 2014 title, but it is more likely a 2015 title given the fact that development has just really got on the way for Battlefront.
