Kinect support for Battlefield 4

Written by David Stellmack

Only for Xbox One version, says DICE

Battlefield 4 developer DICE has confirmed that the Xbox One version of Battlefield 4 will include Kinect support. The news will likely come as a surprise to many diehard fans of the franchise, especially when the developer had indicated in the past that they were not interested in adding the technology into the game, but just to add it.

DICE is saying that their use of Kinect will “make sense.” After thinking about it, it would seem to us to indicate that it could very well be the addition of “voice command” style technology that is being enabled using Kinect.

While we expect to hear more about how Kinect will be used in Battlefield 4 on the Xbox One, we also have to wonder if DICE will extend the Kinect support down to the Xbox 360. Right now, the developer is only talking about support for Xbox One, but we do think it has to be something that they are at least considering.
