by on20 August 2013

Gold colored version to also be an option

Sources tell us that Apple is planning a few special options for the new iPhone 5S which the company is expected to announce in September. Beyond the big improvement of the new ARMv8 architecture which is expected to have the ripple effect of increasing efficiency by as much as 20%, the company is planning something special.

For the first time it is widely expected that Apple will offer the 5S in a 128GB of flash memory configuration, just as it did with the iPad. In addition Apple is said to be planning to offer the 5S in a gold colored version as well.

We will have to see if this comes to pass, but it seems likely given the fact that they have already taken the iPad to 128GB and customers have been asking for a larger storage option for a long time. We only have a short time to wait as it is expected that Apple will be telling us all we need to know on September 10th.
