While Sony was unwilling to talk about the price of its new flagship Xperia Z1 smartphone announced yesterday, the price was thankfully leaked by Sony Germany as well as the retailer/e-tailer in the UK.

Although we expect it be anything but cheap due to its quite impressive feature and specification list, the price of the Xperia Z1, according to German Sony Mobile will be set at €649 (UVP) and it will be available in the Q3 in Black, White and Purple color options.

The UK retailer Colve is one of the first that has actually listed the new smartphone for pre-order and claims that it is expected to have stock in the week of September 16th. It lists with a £564 price tag (including VAT) and considering the prices of previous flagships, manufacturers, including Sony, are definitely pushing the limit.
