No news on Gears for Xbox One

Written by David Stellmack

Hope to bring it to Xbox One at some point

Microsoft still has nothing to announce regarding Gears of War for Xbox One. Epic Games who has been partners with Microsoft in the Gears franchise has also had nothing to say about the possibility of a Gears title for Xbox One.

Microsoft has been quoted as saying that they would like to bring Gears of War in some form to Xbox One, but there is nothing to announce at this time. Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer even suggested to Famitsu that fans should ask Epic Games what they want to do.

It is puzzling that Epic Games has not been out front with a new Gears of War title for the Xbox One. With Halo 5 likely to arrive next year for the holiday season, it would seem that if a new Gears title is coming we will not see it till some point in 2015. Maybe an announcement next year if it is happening, but it would be sad to see the Xbox One move on without a new Gears title.

There is more here, but take your translator.
