PS4 to skip HDMI capture for launch

Written by David Stellmack

Will be added at a later date in the future

Sony has confirmed that the ability for the PlayStation 4 to capture gameplay via HDMI will not be a launch day feature. Instead the company plans to add the recently revealed feature at some point on the future.

According to Sony they are not sure how soon after launch they will be making the feature available, but it will be added via one of the future patches for the console. It is not clear how much impact, if any this will have on the sales of the PS4, but we suspect it will have little if any.
