Peggle 2 to miss Xbox One launch day

Written by David Stellmack

PopCap confirms December release instead

Chalk up another game to miss Xbox One release day. This time around it is Peggle 2 that has slipped and will not make Xbox One launch day as expected. Instead PopCap is saying that the game will arrive for purchase on Xbox Live in a few weeks at some point in December. (No date was announced by PopCap.)

While the game was announced and expected to be available for purchase on launch day of the Xbox One, PopCap has not given any reason for the slip. Peggle 2 is now being called a “launch timeframe title” as it will arrive a few weeks later.

PopCap is expecting that they will be able to announce the official release date for Peggle 2 in December at some point in the next couple of weeks. Still the delay isn’t good news for the Xbox One which has seen a number of launch day titles slip with most of them not arriving till next year. At least right now PopCap thinks that Peggle 2 will arrive yet this year for the Xbox One which is good news for those buying a Xbox One.
