Starting Tuesday, July 3rd, 2008, the Austrian branch of a famous food chain known as Aldi will start selling Medion akoya mini-10 inch netbook E1210 for €399. Hofer, the Austrian brand of Aldi, will offer these notebooks at quite an attractive price and when they launch they usually sell tens of thousands a day, if not even more.
The funny thing about this particular machine is that this is nothing more than a rebrand of MSI's Wind notebook that we’ve reviewed here.
MSI is known for being a big manufacturer of hardware for Medion and this is not an exception, but this will certainly mean that this same Windows Notebook U100 model will face further delays in availability.
The Medion machine has a 10-inch screen, 1GB of memory, 1.6GHz Atom CPU, 80GB WD hard drive, and ships with Windows XP and Corel Wordperfect office X3.
