Korean site ETNews has suggested that Samsung is already preparing serial production of the next Galaxy flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5 and that we might see it as early as February or March next year with plethora of improvements including the rumored metallic case, Samsung's own Exynos 64-bit chip, flexible OLED and better battery.

According to the report, mass production of Samsung Galaxy S5 could get underway in January 2014, which should push the smartphone to market in Fabruary or March. March timeframe sounds like better guess considering that Samsung will use Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelon for announcement and launch it to markets in March. The release date does line up with 10 month gap between two launched which happened between Galaxy S III and the new S4.

The most important rumored improvement is the 64-bit Exynos CPU. As soon as Apple went that way, Samsung really has no other option than to follow. This might be the recently details Samsung HMP (Heterogeneous Multi-Processing) Exynos big.LITTLE chip that would be the first real eigh-core chip. Of course, Samsung might also do the same thing as it did with Galaxy S4 and choose Qualcomm's Snapdragon as chip of choice for certain regions.

The rest of the rumors point of to flexible OLED that Samsung used on its Galaxy Round as well as better 4,000mAh battery, all neatly packed in a 5-inch frame. It will of course run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of box.

In addition to Galaxy S5 rumors, ETNews also talked about the new Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch that should be 15 to 25 percent thinner than the first generation and be bundled together with the Galaxy S5.
