Has Terminal Reality reached the end?

by on13 December 2013

Could be condition critical for the developer say rumors

While nothing has been officially announced or confirmed, an ex-employee of developer Terminal Reality says that it would appear that the studio has been closed. If it has been closed, the developer has yet to make it official. The website claims it is undergoing renovations and it directs visitors to a Facebook page for the studio that has not been updated since October.

Terminal Reality has had a very interesting history since it was founded way back in 1994. The studio was perhaps known for Monster Truck Madness and Terminal Velocity on the PC, but most recently it was its Ghostbusters and Kinect Star Wars titles that most will vaguely remember as neither of really were ringing the cash registers upon release.

While we don’t know the exact status of the studio, we always hate to see developers that have been around for a long time come to this sort of end where they fade into a footnote in gaming history. We guess like in many of these situations we will hear something more specific on the status of the studio soon, but for sure it does not look good.
