Halo 2 coming to Xbox One?

by on30 January 2014

Rumors suggest November release

The Microsoft rumor mill is working overtime with the news that the company is said to be preparing a HD remake of Halo 2: Anniversary Edition for the Xbox One. The rumors are suggesting that the Halo 2 re-release will arrive in November along with the Halo 5 beta.

343 Industries is said to once again be working with Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity, who worked on the Anniversary Edition of Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox 360. We are hearing that a new version of Halo 2 will be an Xbox One-only release; and despite wishing for am Xbox 360 release, it isn’t going to happen, as the focus is on the Xbox One.

No word on when Microsoft might announce it, but rumors are also surfacing that Microsoft has green lit a Crackdown 3 game, as well. We will just have to wait and see how this shakes out. The Crackdown 3 release is said to be targeted for 2016, so we will have a bit of a wait on that one for sure.
