Microsoft in no hurry for new Gears title

Next game needs to reignite the franchise

Microsoft acquired the rights to Gears of War, as we all know, and Microsoft studio Black Tusk is already hard at work on the development of a new Gears of War title. Guess what….don’t expect it to be released any time soon, says Phil Spencer, the big boss over at Microsoft Studios.

Spencer Tweeted that the team at Black Tusk was “still in the planning stages for the new title. The first or next Gears of War title from Black Tusk has to reignite the franchise so it isn’t going to be released anytime soon because we have built the right team at Black Tusk to achieve this goal and they need the time to get it done.”

Sounds right to us.
