LG starts sending out invites for new event

Written by Slobodan Simic

Most likely for LG G3 smartphone

LG has started to send out invites for a new event scheduled to take place on May 27th and 28th and although the agenda for the event has not been announced. Recent leaks and rumors, point to new LG G3 flagship smartphone.

LG's G3 flagship smartphone has already been pretty much confirmed in the recent LG quarterly financial results where LG talked about "higher revenues which are expected in the second quarter with the release of the flagship LG G3 smartphone". There has been a couple of picture leaks of the new LG G3 showing a new back-button design as well as a new sensor which will most likely be used to improve the quality of the camera.

Recent rumors also suggested that LG G3 will be designed around a 5.5-inch Quad HD 2560x1440 resolution screen, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 chipset with 3GB of RAM, 16 and 32GB storage options, 16-megapixel rear camera, 3,000mAh battery as well as some sort of water-resitant IPx7 rating.

In any case and judging from the invitation, we will know for sure on May 27th.
