No FIFA World Cup for X1 & PS4 as we know

by on27 May 2014

Will get a World Cup more update instead for FIFA 14

After announcing that there would be no Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release of 2014 FIFA World Cup, we pretty much thought that was all there was too it. After all of the grumbling about those who have FIFA 2014 on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and can’t get FIFA World Cup 14 on their console, someone at EA Sports must have heard you as the developer has announced a FIFA 14 World Cup update and in addition they will be releasing a “World Cup Kick Off” mode for FIFA 14 as well.

The free World Cup Kick Off update will be coming on May 29th for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The World Cup Kick Off mode will introduce all 32 national teams competing in the tournament. Players will be able to play friendly matches, but it will not include an official tournament mode.

It sounds like not a bad deal all in all as the two updates really give you the majority of the World Cup experience without the tournament mode, but for free this makes quite a nice addition to FIFA 14 which no one really expected to happen when the game was released. Very nice move in an effort to make Xbox One and PlayStation 4 soccer fans happy.
