Garden Warfare heading to PlayStation consoles

Xbox and PC exclusivity apparently at an end

Initially when PopCap announced Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare it was thought that it would be a multiplatform title. Later EA announced that the game would be coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC with the Xbox One version having some additional features.

Now we are learning that our initial understanding was correct and EA/PopCap is planning to release Garden Warfare on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. (No word if a PlayStation Vita versions is planned as well) Apparently the exclusivity window for the gaming being on Xbox and PC only have ended and the game can now be released for the PS3 and PS4.

The bigger question is if at this late date any PlayStation owners really care that Garden Warfare is finally coming to their consoles. Don’t get me wrong, I love the game and have had a blast playing it, but the review scores peg it as a bit above average and sales having been setting the world on fire. Well, if PlayStation owners may have more of an interest in it than those on the Xbox and PC did, you never can quite tell about these things.

Sources tell us to expect an official announcement along with a date during E3.
