Zelda for Wii U to be open-world

Written by David Stellmack

Wii U

Long wait till the 2015 release

Surprise! Zelda is coming to the Wii U!! So, it is likely that most of you who are still following the Wii U already knew that. What you might not have known is the surge in sales from Mario Kart 8 has lit a fire at Nintendo as if they didn’t already know that good software on your console could make a significant difference in sales.

At any rate, the new Zelda for the Wii U will be an open-world game. Players will be able to access areas in the game from any direction and will not have to follow a set path as in previous Zelda releases.

A trailer shown for the game, which was said to be all in-game footage, looked very good. At the same time it looked very different with a more real look than ever before. Still Wii U owners wanting to play the new Zelda are in for a bit of a wait as it will not arrive till 2015 and sources tell us that it will show up just in time for the holiday, so you have a bit of a wait before you will be able to play this Zelda.
