Sony launches Xperia C3 smartphone

Written by Slobodan Simic

For all those selfie lovers

Sony has now officially unveiled the Sony Xperia C3 5.5-inch smartphone aimed at those that really love those selfies.

Based around a 5.5-inch IPS 720p screen, enhanced with Sony's Mobiel Bravia Engine 2, the Xperia C3 is (under)powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 SoC wit3h quad-core 1.2GHz clocked Cortex-A7 CPU part, Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

The headline feature of the Xperia C3 is its front 5-megapixel camera with wide 25mm lens and a LED flash which makes it the perfect smartphone for taking selfies. The rest of the specifications include 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 4G and LTE Cat4 support, 802.11bgn WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The precise dimensions of the Sony Xperia C3 are set at 156.2 x 78.7 x 7.6 mm which is not half bad for a mainstream smartphone. The Sony Xperia C3 is expected to be available in white, black and mint colors in August and Sony will also have a dual-SIM version called Xperia C3 Dual.

Unfortunately, the price is yet to be announced.
