Xbox One to get Reddit app

Written by David Stellmack

ReddX lets you read Reddit on Xbox one

Microsoft has announced that those of you in the US and Canada will be getting an app for the Xbox One called ReddX which allows you to read Reddit on your Xbox One. That’s right read Reddit threads at the touch of a button and upvote or downvote threads and post your own comments using the Xbox One controller.

The ReddX app will allow you to save images to your profile as well as set any image as the background. The app will allow you to view YouTube videos and rewind and fast forward animated GIFs. Additional features will be coming as the app continues to evolve.

While ReddX will be coming to North America, those in Europe will have to wait. The reason is that the app provider’s ad server currently only can serve ads in the US and Canada right now, but they are exploring options to find a way to get the worldwide advertising provider in place that would allow they to take the app worldwide.

Xbox One users will be able to download it from the Xbox App Store soon, but a specific release date was not yet announced.
