EA to pull the plug on Sports Season Ticket

Written by David Stellmack

All Season Tickets set to expire in March 2016

Electronic Arts has confirmed that they will be moving to stop selling the EA Sports Season Ticket in March 2015. Season Tickets Purchased between now and then will expire in March of 2016.

The reason for the move is that the company is moving to EA Access, so there will be little need for the seprate EA Sports Season Ticket going forward. 2014 will be the last year that the ticket is used and games FIFA 15, NHL 15, and Madden NFL 15 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be the last games that will use it.

EA says that the Season Ticket will not be extended to other consoles or platforms, so if you buy it you might want to make sure that you are going to stick with your existing Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 for another year.
