Destiny goes gold for launch

Written by David Stellmack

Sent out for replication is good news

Bungie has confirmed that Destiny has gone gold and the masters have been set out for disc replication and packaging. This means there is no doubt that the game will make its scheduled release on September 9th, as if there was really any doubt.

Bungie says that while the game is done, it does not mean that it is really done. There is still work to do an the first expansion pack called The Dark Below is already on deck for release in December. Bungie says there is still work to do which we believe means that we will likely see a day one patch with additional fixes and things that didn’t make it before the masters went to the disc replicator.
