Microsoft is looking to push the sales up of the Xbox One during the week of September 7th to September 13 with their “Buy Xbox One. Choose a game for free” promotion. The promotion is valid on any new Xbox One system including bundle systems like the Madden NFL 15 or Forza Motorsports 5 Xbox One bundles. So if you choose to buy a bundle system, you will actually end up with two games for free out of the deal.

The deal only applies to new Xbox One systems and the free game must be a disc-based game with a maximum retail value of $59.99, so special editions or limited edition titles that cost more than that are not applicable. It is only valid a select participating retailers and it is not valid for pre-order games. The offer cannot be combined with any other offer and of course used games and refurbished systems are not included in this offer.

Still even with the exceptions and rules, it is actually a very good deal and you have significant number of titles to choose from including NHL 15 and Destiny which will be released Tuesday. We suggest that the bundle deal is the way to go if you want Madden NFL 15 or Forza Motorsport 5 because you end up with two free games, which is the best deal yet.

If the promotion is successful, it will likely lay the ground work for what kind of bundle deal Microsoft will offer with the Xbox One this holiday season.
