This is a big week for Apple. iOS 8 just started rolling out on older iPhones, iPads and iPods, while new and iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units are starting to ship tomorrow.

iOS 8 is an evolutionary update rather than revolutionary one and it can be seen as a fine tuned iOS 7 update, but at the same time it brings some unique features that people have been asking for. To single out a few Apple has finally released an official smart keyboard. It can predict what are you about to say in a text message or email. It can even offer yes or no answers based on the message context.


iOS 8 easier photo editing

The other big thing is that it is easier to find and edit photos. You can also add a voice right to you text message. Health and fitness apps now communicate with each other and can even help you communicate with your trainer or doctor. You can send your location, music and even a video to your friends.

The list of updates is quite long and it covers a wide range of devices, including the Phone 4s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and it comes ships on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus out of the box. The update also comes to iPad Mini, iPad Mini Retina, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 and iPad Air. It will ship with iPad mini and iPad Air successor out of the box when they launch in a few weeks. Last on the list is iPod Touch 5G.
