Bendy iPhone 6 is the Apple II of smartphones

Looks nice, catches fire

Apple’s super cool expensive iPhone 6 not only comes with a bend in your pocket app, but apparently, it now comes with an extremely useful, “catches fire in your trouser pocket function.”

The catching fire application is actually an Easter Egg which has not been mentioned in any of the promotional material we have seen released by Apple. Phillip Lechter, appropriately from Phoenix, said he was blessed by Apple when his iPhone 6 caught fire while still in his pocket. It burned a hole through his pants leaving him with second-degree burns on his leg leaving scars which will be the envy of every Apple fan anywhere.

"It wasn't like a puff of smoke, I could actually feel my leg burning and I couldn't figure out what it was," he said.

Lechter showed the burned jeans he was wearing at the time of the incident, photos of the torched iPhone, and a bandaged wound. He did not seem worried – he described his experience being burnt by his Apple phone as a “one of those weird sensations like a roller coaster ride, until I realised my pants were on fire," said Lechter.

"It's a lithium battery, it's a situation through the bending of the phone, it popped the lithium battery which caused the burning," he said.

Apple replaced the phone, but Lechter wants the company to address what he says happened to him. It is not rocket science. He bought an overpriced phone that bends when it is in your pocket and eventually damages the lithium battery which catches fire. The Apple IIc which we were forced to work on did exactly the same thing, only in those days you didn’t have to put them in your pocket to have them catch fire – they did it all by themselves. Still, that is evolution for you.

There is film here if you are in denial.
