Geforce 344.65 WHQL driver is out

by on11 November 2014

Ready for Assassin’s Creed: Unity

It turns out that Nvidia is tweaking its drivers for every major game release. Just a week ago it released the Geforce 344.60 WHQL driver for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and now it came out with a newer driver.

The Geforce 344.65 WHQL driver gets your Geforce powered gaming rig ready for the latest AAA blockbuster, Assassin’s Creed: Unity. This is a highly anticipated title and we were blown away when we saw the first gameplay demo back in September. It is one of the best looking games we’ve seen in a while and will be enjoyed by many.

We must admit that Call of Duty Advanced Warfare looks and plays great apart from some slow down bugs that forced us to exit the game and load the level again, simply as it would slow down to an unplayable level. The new load would solve the problem, but it would reappear with a new level. There was an update for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare so hopefully it is fixed now.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity launches November 11th in the USA and about a day later in most of Europe and Geforce 344.65 WHQL driver is the one to have for this one. Nvidia has also updated its Geforce Experience software to 2.1.4 and it now has a support for PC streaming to SHIELD devices with Android Lollipop. Android 5.0 should be coming to the Shield Tablet in November, so we expect to see it rather soon, with the Shield Portable console to follow.

The new Geforce Experience also improves stability and fixes several driver installation bugs and adds GameStream support for several Unity-based game. With Assassin’s Creed: Unity coming tonight, the timing seems to be right.
