GRID gaming gets two new games

Nvidia quietly builds up portfolio

GRID gaming might become the Netflix of gaming, at least that is what Nvidia is hoping for. The company's new Shield Tablet lets you play a number of games via Nvidia GRID and at launch the company made a big promise, saying it would update the service with new titles every week.

The week has passed and Nvidia just announced two new titles, including a cult classic, Tim Schafer's Psychonauts, a platform adventure game. Red Faction: Armageddon is the second title and it is a third person shooter from 2011. Psychonauts dates back to 2005 and was the game of the year in Eurogamer.

Nvidia wants to call these updates #GRIDTuesday and the company will keep bringing new titles every week. The number of GRID games has increased to 22 and if this pace continues there should be more than 50 games available by mid-2015. June 30 2015 is the date when free GRID gaming for Shield Tablet owners expires.

We have spent some time with GRID and it is a nice service. Playing games like Batman Arkham City or Borderlands 2 and a few other top titles at no charge is great. The visual quality is good and as long as you have a good internet connection you don't experience any input or gaming lag.
