Will make it right for missing Street Fighter 5

by on09 December 2014

Spencer says it was a business decision

Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer vows to make things right for missing out on Street Fighter 5. On his Twitter feed, while answering questions from fans he indicated that it was a business decision and not every single game can come out for Xbox. In addition he indicated that he would prefer to invest in 1st part franchises that come out from Microsoft Studios.

Still that didn’t make many fans happy that believe that they will be missing out on one of the biggest fighters that will be coming out in 2015. Still Spencer defended the reality that business deals happen and the fact of the matter is that it is all part of competition.

While rumors persist that the reason the Xbox One isn’t getting Street Fighter has more to do with Capcom’s insistence on cross-platform play and we all know this is something that Microsoft isn’t going to move on. Not sure how accurate this actual is, but several sources claim that this was the final nail in the coffin that led to the game becoming a Sony console exclusive.

As for how Spencer might be able to turn the tables and counter this title in the future is hard to say, but deals are being pitch all of the time and who really knows what could be the next big exclusive.
