Spectate for Halo 5 Beta

by on16 December 2014

Will not allow cheating

343 Industries has confirmed that the Halo 5 beta that is coming up in a couple of weeks will inclue a Spectator Mode that is part of its eSports-focused functionality that will be a part of Halo 5.

The big worry about the spectator mode is that it will be an invite to cheaters, but producer Josh Holmes while sure it will be a big hit with the eSports community he assures everyone that there is a delay in the video that is meant to make sure that it can be used to cheating.

Other news from the upcoming Beta is that players will be able to try 7 maps during the three weeks of the beta, but not all of the maps will be released right away. Additional modes to play will be coming and in week two the plan is for players to vote on power weapon and map that they want to see put into rotation.

We know for sure that everyone who plunked down the scratch for the Master Chief Collection (MCC) gets a spot in the beta. Currently there is no other way that we know of to get into the beta, but that could change as we get closer to the release data of the Beta.
