AMD based notebooks for Christmas

Bloomberg is reporting that Toshiba, the fourth largest manufacturer of notebooks,  plans to use AMD processors in about 20 per cent of its notebooks.

This ends a 6 year long exclusive deal with Intel, and Toshiba joins the likes of HP, Dell and Acer which already sell AMD based computers.

Analysts believe this is a wise move as it should cut Toshiba's procurement costs by 10 per cent and allow it to expand its product line-up.

You can expect AMD powered Satellite notebooks around Christmas.
